Elizabeth Smith Sampler

The following photograph shows the Elizabeth Smith sampler dated 1762.  The original measures almost 8” wide by almost 11” high.  It is stitched on 40 count linen over 2 threads in Pearsall’s silks.  It is a unique opportunity to stitch this beautiful sampler and to learn of its history.  You will also have the opportunity to be able to see the original with a small group, which means that you can get very close to it, and it won’t be hidden behind glass!.
